Who Revup talks to
Revup speaks to our Merchants: the other projects and business units within the group, each operating with its own P&L, its own business model, and its own payments needs. From Revup's side, every Merchant is treated as what it functionally is: an autonomous company that could take its payments business elsewhere. Merchant size, business model, or industry isn't a limiting factor; if a Merchant wants to optimize its revenue stream, Revup is relevant to them.
Needs and problems
Payments specialists are often stuck juggling multiple platforms just to get their day-to-day work done, which increases the chance of mistakes and makes their job more frustrating than it needs to be. What they need is a single place that unifies that work. Any content we create should reinforce that Revup has their back, whatever the scenario.
Objections and concerns
Trust is the biggest barrier, but not in the sense of being an unknown platform, it's the opposite. Our Merchants know exactly what the alternative looks like, because other global PSPs are established, well-documented, and easy to default to. The real objection a Merchant is weighing isn't "can I trust something new," it's "why would I use the internal tool instead of the market leader everyone already trusts." That means our communication can't just claim reliability in the abstract; it needs to hold up against a direct, informed comparison with the biggest names in the industry, and make the case that staying within the group is the better call, not just the easier one.
Relationships
Our competition is external: major global payment platforms that any Merchant could contract instead of us. Our differentiators are how quickly we integrate into a Merchant's existing setup and reliability, plus something no outside provider can offer: we're built around the group's own way of working. Beyond the product itself, we want the relationship with our Merchants to be one of trust and service: we want to be the team they turn to when something's wrong, and we want them to feel confident acting on what we tell them, confident enough that going to a competitor never feels worth the switch.
